Dr Steinberg is the very best! He has performed surgery on one hand to eliminate my problem with arthritis and will soon be performing it on the other. It has been 10 years since my previous surgery. Dr. Steinberg changed my life. I had excruciating pain in my wrist that prevented me from working without long pauses. My job is very intense and centered around computer work. I couldn't wait until weekends where I wouldn't have to work and give my wrist a rest. Exercise was limited. I had arthritis, bone spur as well as a childhood injury to the tendons. I am happy that I was able to use Baptist Medical and Jacksonville Orthopedic Institute because they gave me the best treatment and one of the best Surgeons in the country. Me and my wife were scared out of our wits when I tore my bicep tendon. But thanks to Dr. Steinberg, his expertise and his amazing staff, withing 4 months after my surgery and I'm almost back to normal. The Physical Therapy protocol and strength training is progressing right on track, and withing a few more week I should be as good or better then new. Dr. Steinberg's energy and interest in helping me have my hand back in working order quickly demonstrated how much he loves what he does. Dr. Steinberg has been great from my first anxiety-filled visit to now, after the steristrips fell off. The endoscopic carpal tunnel release is NOT your mother's hand surgery. It took no more than 20 minutes and 10 days of being bandaged and my hand feels normal again. No marks on my skin. Dr. Steinberg and his team are great and I have been recommending him to friends who ask about this surgery. Have it done! The sooner, the better.
